Our History
The Colorado Academy of
Independent Learners, a non-public, independent school, is located in Peyton,
Colorado, about 20 miles northeast of Colorado Springs. We opened our doors in
2001. CAIL offers families the opportunity to be part of a private school, with
many of the advantages a private school can offer while at the same time
deriving all the benefits of a home-based education program.
Our Vision
CAIL believes that no one is
more qualified to teach your child than your, and that no one else can ever take
full and direct responsibility for your child’s education. We believe you are
perfectly capable of teaching your elementary through high school student
anything and everything needed to succeed in college, and in life. We believe
that a home-based education program can provide a far more comprehensive,
flexible, and higher quality educational experience than can be had by sitting in
a classroom with dozens of other students performing to a one-size-fits-all
curriculum for six to eight hours a day. You

CAIL accreditation is pending through the National
Association for the Legal Support of Alternative Schools, (NALSAS)
